I am a great believer in that admittedly annoyingly expression, "hacking life". Since school, I've always carried a backpack like it was part of my spine. Primarily because it meant I could easily lug my laptop and ESSENTIAL gadgets (subjective word) but also because I would have all manner of other essentials with me- from cards to spare cash, first aid and medication to a book or two. Maybe it was the scouts that drilled it into me, maybe it was my social awkwardness that drove me not to be caught out forgetting something, but I still do it today. My hackpack has everything I need in it but nothing I don't. This is a scaled-down version of it I've made up to get you started on the same readiness route!
