From Two Brothers to a Tech Dream
Colin and Wesley Baker — brothers, best friends, and lifelong tech enthusiasts — were sitting in a bar somewhere in rural Ireland, chatting about their shared love of technology and fixing things. Having grown up in retail at Decwells Expert DIY (now Ireland's top retailer), their dream was always to run their own technology store — a space where they could share their passion and help others understand and enjoy tech just like they did.
As the drinks flowed and the conversation turned to their favourite film, Back to the Future, the spark of an idea was born: open a tech store just down the road from Decwells on Aungier Street. And so, Back from the Future came to life.
More Than a Store — A Support Hub
Colin and Wesley still love being on the floor, helping customers, solving problems, and keeping things personal. Their small shop has now grown into multiple repair labs located in Dun Laoghaire, Donnybrook, and Bray. They also operate Laptoplab — Ireland’s most advanced tech repair facility, using techniques and equipment not available anywhere else in the country. Quite simply, there's almost nothing they can’t fix.
Still the Same, 20 Years Later
